Dog reading for Princess(Read below)
I
am sorry that I have taken so long to get this to you. You read my dog
Princess recently at the Natural Healing Fair in Springfield, MO. I'm
the one that had the major melt down :O). I wanted to thank you once
again for taking the time to read her. It meant so much to me just to
finally know what she was thinking. Please feel free to put this on
your website (I would love it, if you would).
Catherine talked with my 4 year old
Rat Terrier, Princess, recently. The results rocked me to my core and
brought me to happy tears. She is my husband's and I's baby. We got her
right after we got married (as a starter child). She is the same age as
our marriage and it has been so amazing to watch her grow as our
marriage grew. We rescued her from the pound, literally hours before
her scheduled euthanization. We gave her the name Princess because
that's what she was to our family. She is our child and has
even been accepted as a wonderful grandchild to our parents. She is
spoiled and she does tease, you were right about both. She has
defintely earned her name in the years we have had her.
You were absolutely right that my poor
baby just can't settle down. The first words out of my Princess' mouth
to Catherine were, "What do you want I'm busy?" And she is ALWAYS busy.
You were right when Princess told you that she just gets so excited, so
excited sometimes she pees where she's not suppose to. She runs all day
long until mommy and daddy get home. You were also right on when
Princess told you she wants to walk more. I have recently started
walking with one of my girlfriends at
night. One night, I decided to bring Princess along, thinking she
needed the excercise as much as I do. She didn't do very well, stopping
to sniff the entire neighborhood and giving the "I'm better than you"
look to all the fenced up neighborhood dogs. That was the last night I
took her, as it was more of a hinderance to my excercising than worth
it. I felt really bad when Princess said she missed the walks. She only
got one, but apparently it meant a lot more to her than I ever thought.
I'm working on that.
Princess also said she would love to see her daddy play golf more. If
only we could find a golf course that allowed dogs. Maybe we will set
up a driving range in our backyard now that we finally have a house of
our own.
The thing that really got me was when
she talked about me, her mommy. May of 2004 I sang at my high school
graduation. I haven't sang since then. No particular reason why, I just
didn't. I was always told I was rather good at it but never saw that in
myself. Right after we got Princess, I remember singing in the car to
her, just playing around. She huffed at me and I assumed doggies didn't
like humans singing to them. Catherine explained to me that Princess
couldn't figure out why I ever stopped singing. She said she missed
hearing me sing. I volunteered to sing at church soon after. I
practiced every day (I hadn't done this in 4 years). Everyday I would
start the music and she would come in and sit in the floor and listen.
If no one else liked me, I knew my baby did. I will be singing again
here in another week and have, once again, been practicing regularly.
Everyday, she sits and listens. She has walked off though and I know to
tweak something (she's my American Idol judge).
I told my husband about Princess
thinking I was more of a spiritual person than he. This is something
I've recently been really worrying about. I felt as though I was taking
off on this amazing spiritual journey and my husband was just walking
behind. I have prayed along with our friends that my husband would come
to know the type of spiritual awareness that we do, and for months we
prayed to no avail. One night, Princess was laying with us about to
doze off and my husband finally figured it all out. Princess is such an
important part of our lives and of our marriage. We have watched her
from the little bitty 12 pound, malnourished pound dog to the healthy
and vibrant 20 pounder we have now (don't tell her I'm telling everyone
how much she weighs. She's probably sensitive like her mommy). It was
so wonderful to know that we're doing everything right and that she
loves us as much as we love her. It was so wonderful to finally get to
hear what she thought. I hope you continue to let me know what my baby
is thinking. You are a wonderful communicator and you will never know
just how amazing and important what you do really is.

Everything that you told me about
Jetta was true. She is definitely a crabby girl. Knowing now that she
gets upset when I don’t tell her ahead of time that we’re having
company is something I can easily fix. Thank you for talking with her.

Knowing that all RJ wanted before he
died was a blanket put over him, made his crossing so much easier for
me. Thank you.

Even though Cyrano, our very special
guy, didn’t come back to us in a form we would’ve liked, knowing that
you were talking with him during the time he was lost, gave us great
comfort.

My Shelby has been gone for 7 years.
There is no way you could’ve known that I used to dress her up and put
hats on her all the time while she was with me. Knowing that you
connected with her and hearing all of the things she told you has given
me the comfort I’ve been needing all these years. I just put a deposit
on the puppy she told me to get. I don’t know how to thank you for
everything you’ve done. You’ve made me a true believer.
